SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

2/3/2016 - Work Continues on Sedalia Sewer Project

24 feet below ground level near the southeast corner of S. New York Avenue and E. 28th Street, crews are pouring the floor for an overflow basin to be used during heavy rain events. The area of concrete pictured above will be repeated 7 more times just to finish the floor alone!

The City's Yard Waste Facility previously housed in this location is still open in its temporary location further south and on the west side of S. New York Avenue. Future plans include moving the Yard Waste Facility to the City Compost Facility located at 27882 Highway U. Sedalia's sewer project is scheduled for completion in July 2016.
