The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

3/15/2016 - Traffic Advisory Noted for S. New York Avenue

An area surrounding S. New York Avenue and E. 28th Street is extremely busy with traffic from heavy construction equipment due to continued work on the Sedalia Sewer Project and the construction of the new Sedalia Animal Shelter.

While crews are making every effort to keep this area open to through traffic, motorists should proceed with caution and expect unavoidable delays if choosing to use this route.
