The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

9/13/2016 - Electronic Vehicle Charging Stations in Downtown Sedalia

Electronic vehicle owners can now conveniently charge their vehicles while visiting Downtown Sedalia. KCP&L has established the very first electronic vehicle charging stations for Sedalia's historic district on the east side of the City parking lot located on the southeast corner of W. Second Street and S. Osage Avenue.

According to an agreement between the City of Sedalia and KCP&L, presented to City Council in February 2016, the City approved paying a possible minimal fee for a 9 month period. KCP&L agreed to cover the cost of construction then collect all proceeds from the electricity purchased by vehicle owners. Charging stations are also available at Sedalia's Walmart at 3201 W. Broadway Boulevard.
