The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

3/1/2017 - Veto of City of Sedalia Ordinance

On Tuesday, February 28, 2017, Mayor Stephen Galliher vetoed Ordinance #10567. This ordinance, presented and approved by the City Council at the February 27, 2017 City Council meeting, agreed to future funding of over $312,000.00 from the City's CIP fund by approving and accepting a state block grant agreement by and between the City of Sedalia, Missouri and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
