The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

1/11/2018 - City of Sedalia: Potential for Wintery Mix
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Sedalia area. With temperatures anticipated to drop rapidly this morning, the potential exists for freezing rain between 2:00 p.m. and 5 p.m. and for patchy, blowing snow after 5:00 p.m.

Should the weather result in accumulations of ice or snow, the City will activate the Emergency Snow Routes to allow designated roadways to be easily cleared for emergency and other vehicles. Please see the two links below for more information.
