The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) :  The City of Sedalia is seeking qualified contractors for a Home Repair (rehabilitation) Project funded by the Missouri Housing Development Commission.

The City of Sedalia has been awarded a grant under the HeRO Project for owner-occupied houses only within a designated neighborhood boundary. It is our intent to rehabilitate at least three (3) houses by August, 2009.

In doing so, the City of Sedalia will require qualified contractors to do the work. Interested contactors will need to apply by application which may be acquired through Alice Carter at the Sedalia Community Center, 314 South Washington Avenue, or through John Simmons in the Community Development Department at the Municipal Building, 2nd Floor, 200 South Osage Avenue. A map of the neighborhood boundary is included with the application.

Interested contractors will need to have applications back to either Alice Carter at the Sedalia Community Center or John Simmons at the Municipal Building by Monday, January 26, 2009.
