The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

City Unveils New Website -

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : The City of Sedalia initiated the launch of its new website this afternoon.  The site, under development for the past three months, offers the city an improved web presence, new methods of communicating with its citizens and new opportunities for citizens, businesses and visitors alike to interact with city government.  New features include a city master calendar, subscription-based e-Notify Me! services, enhanced information and web access to City Council meeting packets.

The new website illustrates a continuing commitment to the progressive, forward-thinking nature of municipal government in Sedalia.  The website offers the City an additional tool in serving the needs of Sedalia and the site also offers its citizens one more avenue of open communication with their local government.

Previous city web addresses, including and, remain active and forward to the new website.  The web address at standardizes the City web address to the City's e-mail domain, which was implemented earlier in the year.
