SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

Sedalia serves as Capitol for a Day

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : Missouri Governor Matt Blunt issued a proclamation today in Jefferson City designating Sedalia, Missouri as the "Capitol for a Day" for Tuesday, October 2, 2007. 

On the steps of the the Pettis County courthouse this afternoon, Mayor Bob Wasson welcomed the governor back to Sedalia.   As a part of Sedalia's participation in the "Capitol for a Day" program, Gov. Blunt brought members of his cabinet and senior staff to hold office hours in the Sedalia.

While in Sedalia, the governor held office hours to visit with citizens at the courthouse and at various locations in the area.  Cabinet officials and representatives from each department were also on hand throughout the afternoon to answer questions and provide assistance.
