October 6 is Smith-Cotton Class of 1957 Reunion Day in Sedalia
(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : Mayor Bob Wasson issued a proclamation today designating October 6, 2007 as Smith-Cotton High School Class of 1957 Reunion Day in Sedalia.
Text of Proclamation
"WHEREAS: the Smith-Cotton High School Class of 1957 will celebrate their 50th class reunion on October 6, 2007; and
WHEREAS: many of these graduates will return to Sedalia from all parts of the United States to celebrate this class reunion;
WHEREAS: the 1957 graduates of Smith-Cotton High School have distinguished themselves in their endeavors in the fields of business, entertainment, the arts, education, engineering, medicine, law, and many other; and
WHEREAS: other classmates served honorably in the various military services; and
WHEREAS: it is with great pleasure that the City of Sedalia honors and extends a sincere, warm welcome to these alumni of Smith-Cotton High School.
I, Bob Wasson, Mayor of Sedalia, Missouri, do hereby proclaim Saturday, October 6, 2007 as SMITH-COTTON HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1957 REUNION DAY in the City. I am proud to recognize these alumni whose heritage is deep and prominent in this community. On behalf of the City of Sedalia, I extend my sincere best wishes to these graduates."
