SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

11/6/2018 - Intersection Changes: Stop Signs to be Removed
On Oct. 15, 2018, the City Council approved a recommendation from the Citizens’ Traffic Advisory Commission to remove stop signs at the intersections of E. 4th Street and S. Montgomery and E. 6th Street and S. Montgomery. To assist in transitioning these two locations to unmarked intersections, the Street Department will post signs on Oct. 23, 2018 to inform those passing through these intersections of the upcoming removal of the stop signs. The stop signs will be removed on the morning of Nov. 6, 2018.  Please see the enclosed public service announcement for more information.
