SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler  (MO-04) and Senator Roy Blunt (MO) announced today that the City of Sedalia has been awarded a $10.09 million grant by the U.S. Department of Transportation. This grant funding will be used to extend existing railroad tracks to the new Sedalia Rail Industrial Park.

The City wishes to thank Congresswoman Hartzler and Senator Blunt for their support. Also, we are thankful for the great working relationship with the Sedalia-Pettis County Economic Development and Pettis County that facilitated the collaborative effort in writing this grant application.
