SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

4:30 p.m. CST - February 25, 2013

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI): According to the National Weather Service, forecasts show Sedalia receiving over a foot of snow by Tuesday evening, February 26, 2013. Due to weather conditions, the landfill will be closed tomorrow and City of Sedalia refuse collection will not occur.

Employees able to safely travel to the City Municipal Building will work on Tuesday, February 26; however, City Hall will be closed to the public.

Officials advise citizens to remain at home if at all possible. Remaining inside not only keeps our residents safe, but allows the street/road crews and emergency personnel to concentrate on snow removal and prompt emergency response times.
