DAVID CLIPPERT NOMINATED AS DIRECTOR OF SEDALIA -
PETTIS COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : David Clippert, former Pettis County Health Center Public Health Emergency Planner, has been nominated by Mayor Bob Wasson and Presiding Commissioner Rusty Kahrs as the next Director of the Sedalia-Pettis County Emergency Management Agency (EMA). Clippert replaces Tim Mosier, who retired at the end of 2007, and will start his new post on February 1, 2008.

Clippert, a retired member of the United States Air Force, comes to the EMA from a position with Applied Research Associates at Whiteman Air Force Base. Prior to his position at Whiteman AFB, Clippert served as the Public Health Emergency Planner with the Pettis County Health Center.

"Mr. Clippert is well-known and well-respected in our community," said Mayor Bob Wasson. "David will bring his considerable talents to this vital post in keeping Sedalia and Pettis County prepared and ready for emergency response."

"I look forward to serving Sedalia and Pettis County," said Clippert. David Clippert and his wife Tammie live in Sedalia with their daughter McKenna.

Clippert's nomination will be considered by the Sedalia City Council at a regular business meeting on Tuesday, January 22
