SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

Emergency Snow Routes Activated

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI): The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES on the basis of the weather forecast of snow effective Monday, February 3, 2014 at 10:00 p.m.

Per City ordinance, the City's Emergency Snow Routes may be made effective on the basis of falling snow, sleet or freezing rain, or on the basis of a forecast of snow, sleet or freezing rain. Emergency Snow Routes may also be automatically activated when Sedalia receives snow and ice accumulations of 2 inches or more. During this activation, parking is prohibited on the streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes. The parking prohibition will be in effect until terminated by announcement or the street is substantially clear of snow and ice from curb to curb for the length of the entire block. 

Violator’s automobiles will be towed.
