The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

1/12/2015 - Fiber Optic Cabling Installation on Broadway Avenue
Travelers may have noticed a timing difference with signal lights on Broadway Avenue between South Kentucky Avenue and South Massachusetts Avenue. The Missouri Department of Transportation reports they are currently installing fiber optic cabling in this area with an unknown completion date at this time. Once the cabling has been installed, MoDOT will be able to reset the timing on these lights. The purpose of installing fiber optic cabling is to allow faster, uninterrupted service to the signal lights – a service that supports public safety.
