4/21/2015 - Sedalia City Council and Sedalia DARE Program Recognized

Congratulations, Appreciation Included in April 20 City Council Meeting

At the April 20, 2015 City Council meeting, newly elected members of the City Council were sworn into office by City Clerk Arlene Silvey. Several Councilmembers were reelected for additional terms: First Ward Councilmember Jo Lynn Turley, Second Ward Councilmember Russell Driskell, Second Ward Councilmember Bonita Nash and Third Ward Councilmember Bob Cross. The newest member of the City Council, Vicky Collins, was also sworn in as Fourth Ward Councilmember. While former Fourth Ward Councilmember Larry Stevenson was unable to attend last night's meeting, he sent best wishes to Ms. Collins and many thanks to Mayor Galliher and the City Council.

Mayor Stephen Galliher and City Council also visited with Robert "Racecar Bob" Hiller as he announced the proceeds from this year's 25th annual Sedalia DARE car show. With over $11,000 donated for 2015, the Sedalia DARE program will continue to be a positive presence for area youth and a role model for other Missouri DARE programs.
