SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has declared a Snow Emergency as at least two inches of snow/sleet/ice are expected to occur January 11, 2019 through January 12, 2019. Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department is working to keep these designated streets as clear as possible to allow for emergency vehicle use. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off Emergency Snow Routes until cleared.

Mayor Proclaims Kiwanis One Day

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : Mayor Bob Wasson issued a proclamation today designating April 5, 2008 as Kiwanis One Day in Sedalia. 

Text of Proclamation

Whereas: The Sedalia Kiwanis Club has been a Sedalia service club for 85 years; and,

Whereas: The Sedalia Kiwanis Club has over the past 85 years, raised thousands of dollars, through fund raising efforts such as the Kiwanis Pancake Day and Kiwanis Peanut Day to support our community’s young people; and

Whereas: The Sedalia Kiwanis Club has provided service to the Sedalia and Pettis County Community enriching the lives of thousands of area youth; and

Whereas: The Sedalia Kiwanis Club continues to support Sedalia programs and organizations including the Sedalia Kiwanis William Schien Memorial Scholarship Program, ABC, Children’s Therapy Center, Early Childhood, Melita Day Nursery, American Legion Baseball, Paul Klover Soccer, Little League as well as being involved with child car seat safety and bicycle helmet programs; and

Whereas: All Kiwanis family members around the globe will unite in a day of hands-on service called Kiwanis One Day, an annual event with all branches of the Kiwanis Family performing service that takes place the first Saturday of April every year

NOW THEREFORE I, Bob Wasson, Mayor of the City of Sedalia, do hereby proclaim April 5, 2008 as Kiwanis One Day in Sedalia.
